The Conklin Prize honors the memory of James E. Conklin, M.D., superior hunter and dedicated conservationist. Dr. Conklin demonstrated the highest degree of ethics in his extensive hunting career. He was for a strong commitment to wildlife conservation. The Conklin Prize's mission has been formulated according these ideas:
"The Conklin Prize recognizes the world's greatest active hunter who chases game in the most challenging conditions with the highest standards of ethics and fair hunting, and is an active participant in wildlife conservation."
This high award was awarded at one time: Bela Hidwegi, Alan Sakman, Jay Link, Jim Shocky, Rene Schneider, Alan Smith, Pepe Madrazo, etc. In 2018, Alexander Egorov became the first Russian hunter to receive the Conklin Prize.
