Regions The eastern part of the Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan, the Pamir Plateau in eastern Tajikistan, and the range extends north into southeastern Kyrgyzstan south of the Naryn River, also encompassing the adjacent Chinese Pamir on the western edge of China. It has not been observed in Pakistan recently, although there are reports of its movement from China into the Hunza Valley through the Kilik and Khunjerab passes. The northern boundary of its range reaches the western part of the Naryn River and the Fergana Range.
