Hunting on the island of Mallorca for the Balearic wild goat.

The hunt took place in the north of the island of Mallorca at an altitude of 800 metres in the most picturesque location. I shot from 200 metres — a comfortable and easy hunt!

Hunting in Iran for the Persian Desert Ibex

Almost immediately we found a group of ibex. They were about 1.5 kilometres away and at the top of the mountain. It was almost impossible to approach them unnoticed. We had to make a detour and start our approach from 2.5 kilometres away. The ibex noticed us and crossed the ridge. It took us 3 hours to get to the area where they were and where we could see them. The group of ibex were resting on the opposite slope. We immediately spotted our trophy male. He was grazing and slowly moving upward. The distance to him was 525 meters. I made all the necessary calculations (the wind was 3-4 m/s) and took the shot. The Beceite ibex ran 10 metres and collapsed behind a rock, where we later found it.

Beceite Ibex

We had long planned to go hunting in Spain. We combined mountain hunting with a montería and gastronomic tours around Valencia. It was warm, sunny, and positive.

Beceite Ibex

The hunting was simple. We went on a trip to Spain and also went hunting. We visited a montería and hunted for a Beceite Ibex. It was warm and sunny. The organization of the hunt was excellent.

Hunting for Bezoar ibex in Turkey

The hunt, prepared by brothers Murat and Fahri Akoglu, was professionally organised and yielded results. A Bezoar ibex and a Bezoar ibex (hybrid origin) were captured in a single climb up the mountain, despite the fog and cloud cover. However, it took 4 hours to get back down with the help of lanterns.

Caucasian wolf

This hunt was my second trip to Dagestan to hunt wolves. Like last time, the hunt was planned over several days. On the first day of the hunt it was decided to help the shepherds in the foothills. It took about 3 hours to get from Makhachkala to the place where the signal of a wolf attack on cattle was received the day before. The peculiarity of hunting at the foothills in winter pastures is the absence of large areas free of bushes and reeds and frequent fog. The first day we were unlucky - we only saw jackals and foxes, which are plentiful here. On the second day we decided to go to the foothills, higher up where the fog could reach. Almost immediately, a large wolf pack was spotted in the area of the farms. We made some preparations for the wind conditions and my guide Magomed started to bait the pack with the sounds of wolf howling. There were 7 wolves in the pack and they started to approach us without any reaction. I was very surprised at the speed with which the pack approached us. It was good that all the preparations had been made and nothing could throw them off course. The wolves made their first stop 150 metres from us. This distance was more than comfortable for me in terms of shooting, but Magomed baited them again with howls and the wolves continued to move in our direction. I finally shot the first wolf that came at me from a distance of about 50 metres. The Blaser R8 223 Rem. rifle worked perfectly.
